Fried Beef Liver

I'm one of those wierd people that LOVES liver! High in iron for those of us that need it and easy to cook.

Ingredients
For 4 Servings
Recipe
- 3 tablespoons bacon fat. You can also use olive oil or canola oil if you do not have bacon fat
- 1 pound liver, sliced like stir fry meat
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced into rings
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Red crushed pepper, to taste
Fried Beef Liver Directions
- Season liver with salt, pepper and crushed red pepper.
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and fry for one minute. Then add liver and onions and fry till liver is done. This will be about 5-10 minutes depending on how cooked you want your liver. I like my beef liver a little red inside and the onions crunchy.
- When done remove from heat and eat as is, with a salad, over rice or make a gravy and have it with mashed potatoes and gravy or rice and gravy. Either way its good!
