Place ham in roasting pan.
Cover ham with brown sugar by using your hands to pat the sugar onto the ham. Don't worry if there is extra on the bottom of pan. If using a spiral cut ham, you can put some of the sugar in-between a few of the spirals.
Bake covered for 45-60 minutes. Baking depends on the size of your ham.
Read instructions on ham package for timing. During cooking, remove ham from oven and baste with juices from bottom of pan.
